Another month, another Flash Player update. This time Adobe kill seven bugs, which the company considers to be critical<\/a>. Six of the seven bugs could lead to code execution; in other words, malicious Flash objects could use the bugs to inject code onto computers and perform potentially nefarious actions. Bugs with software like Flash are very serious, because unlike malware, you don’t have to actually download a file to get attacked. Booby-trapped web pages, with malicious Flash animations (some of which can be so small or unobtrusive that you don’t even see them) can exploit these vulnerabilities and potentially do great damage to a computer, such as infect them with malware.<\/p>\n The updated version of Flash Player is 10.0.42.34. You can download a new version of Flash Player here<\/a>, and you can find which version you have installed on this page<\/a>. We’d still like to see some sort of built-in version checker for Flash Player, that can tell you when you need an update.
