As a result of iCloud Keychain being added, the update improves password security with the addition of a password generator, so Safari can suggest &#8220;unique, hard-to-guess passwords for your online accounts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/DL1691\" target=\"_blank\">update<\/a>\u00a0contains improvements and bug fixes, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adds iCloud Keychain to keep track of your account names, passwords, and credit card numbers across all your approved devices<\/li>\n<li>Adds Password Generator so Safari can suggest unique, hard-to-guess passwords for your online accounts<\/li>\n<li>Updates lock screen to delay display of &#8220;slide to unlock&#8221; when Touch ID is in use<\/li>\n<li>Adds back the ability to search the web and Wikipedia from Spotlight search<\/li>\n<li>Fixes an issue where iMessage failed to send for some users<\/li>\n<li>Fixes a bug that could prevent iMessage from activating<\/li>\n<li>Improves system stability when using iWork apps<\/li>\n<li>Fixes an accelerometer calibration issue<\/li>\n<li>Addresses an issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice<\/li>\n<li>Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the Lock screen passcode<\/li>\n<li>Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation<\/li>\n<li>Fixes an issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive<\/li>\n<li>Updates the Bold Text setting to also change dial pad text<\/li>\n<li>Fixes an issue that could cause supervised devices to become un-supervised when updating software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The following passcode lock flaws (and an iPhone issue) were resolved in this <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT6010\" target=\"_blank\">update<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2013-5144\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2013-5144<\/a> :\u00a0A person with physical access to the device may be able to\u00a0make calls to any number.\u00a0A NULL dereference existed in the lock screen which\u00a0would cause it to restart if the emergency call button was tapped\u00a0while a notification was being swiped and while the camera pane was\u00a0partly visible. While the lock screen was restarting, the call dialer\u00a0could not get the lock screen state and assumed the device was\u00a0unlocked, and so allowed non-emergency numbers to be dialed. This\u00a0issue was addressed by avoiding the NULL dereference.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2013-5162\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2013-5162<\/a> :\u00a0The time delay for incorrect passcode attempts may be\u00a0bypassed.\u00a0When returning to the passcode lock from the Phone app,\u00a0the passcode entry view is sometimes visible when it should not be,\u00a0and so may be accessed even if the iPhone has been disabled due to\u00a0many incorrect passcode attempts. This issue was addressed by\u00a0updating the visibility of the passcode entry view on state changes.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2013-5164\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2013-5164<\/a> :\u00a0A person with physical access to the device may be able to\u00a0call arbitrary contacts.\u00a0Race conditions existed in the Phone app at the lock\u00a0screen. Under various circumstances, the Phone app may allow access\u00a0to the Contacts pane.
