According to Adobe&#8217;s <a title=\"APSB14-18\" href=\"http:\/\/helpx.adobe.com\/security\/products\/flash-player\/apsb14-18.html\" target=\"_blank\">security bulletin<\/a> (APSB14-18), the Flash Player updates address &#8220;vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Affected\u00a0software versions include: Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh, Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.394 and earlier versions for Linux, Adobe AIR 14.0.0.110 and earlier versions for Windows and Mac, and Adobe AIR 14.0.0.137 and earlier versions for Android.<\/p>\n<p>The vulnerabilities patched in this update\u00a0are described as follows:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>These updates resolve memory leakage vulnerabilities that could be used to bypass memory address randomization (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0540\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0540<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0542\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0542<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0543\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0543<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0544\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0544<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0545\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0545<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>These updates resolve a security bypass vulnerability (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0541\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0541<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>These updates resolve a use-after-free vulnerability that could lead to code execution (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0538\" target=\"_blank\">CVE-2014-0538<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Users of Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145\u00a0and earlier versions for Macintosh\u00a0should update to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #7baf30;\" title=\"Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player\" href=\"http:\/\/get.adobe.com\/flashplayer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.176<\/a>\u00a0as soon as possible. Users of Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.394 and earlier versions for Linux should update to Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.400.\u00a0Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 installed with Google Chrome will automatically be updated to the latest Google Chrome version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.177\u00a0for Windows, Mac and Linux.<\/p>\n<p>Users of Adobe AIR 14.0.0.110 and earlier versions for Windows and Mac should update to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #7baf30;\" title=\"Adobe - Get Adobe AIR\" href=\"http:\/\/get.adobe.com\/air\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adobe AIR 14.0.0.178<\/a>.
