We reported on a serious flaw in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader<\/a> a few weeks ago, and, at the time, Adobe announced that they would issue a patch “by March 11” to fix the vulnerability. Well, consider it done. Barely ahead of schedule, Adobe has release a security update<\/a> for Acrobat. However, this update is only available for the current version – version 9 – of Adobe’s software.<\/p>\n As the vendor points out in their security bulletin, “Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9 update to Adobe Reader 9.1 and Acrobat 9.1. Adobe is planning to make available updates for Adobe Reader 7 and 8, and Acrobat 7 and 8, by March 18. In addition, Adobe plans to make available Adobe Reader 9.1 for Unix by March 25.” <\/p>\n So if you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat or Reader, version 9, you can get your update now.
